Getting the most from Cardarooz

Short, practical guides for setting up your account, building your collection page and selling when you are ready. Stuck on something these do not cover? Email support@cardarooz.com and a person will reply.

Setting up your profile

Your profile is how other collectors, buyers and sellers see you. It takes a couple of minutes.

  1. Go to Account and open the Profile tab.
  2. Enter your Display name. This is how you appear to buyers and sellers, up to 80 characters.
  3. Add a photo: tap the round avatar at the top of the page, or choose Upload new avatar. JPEG, PNG and WebP all work, and square images look best. You can crop it before it saves.
  4. Choose your Public Collection Name if you want a friendly web address for your collection (see Creating your collection page).
  5. Tap Save changes.

Adding your bank account to get paid

You only need this if you plan to sell. Payouts are handled by Stripe, so your bank details go straight to Stripe and Cardarooz never sees them.

  1. Add your address first: Account, Addresses tab, + Add address. Stripe uses your country to set up the right kind of account.
  2. Open the Payouts tab and choose Set up payouts.
  3. Stripe opens. Follow its steps to confirm who you are and add the bank account you want to be paid into, then you come back to Cardarooz.
  4. Check the status on the Payouts tab. Ready means you are set. If it says Action needed, choose Resolve now and it lists exactly what Stripe still needs.

When the money arrives

When something sells, the buyer's payment is held safely until they confirm the item arrived. If they do not confirm, it is released automatically 5 days after the order is marked delivered. Stripe checks new sellers before the first payout, which usually takes 7 to 14 days from your first sale.

Creating your collection page

Every member gets a collection page: one link that shows your pieces with their photos and stories. It is private until you decide to share it, and values are never shown.

1. Choose your link

  1. Go to Account, Profile, and fill in Public Collection Name. Your link will be cardarooz.com/collections/ followed by the name you choose.
  2. Use 3 to 40 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Spaces become hyphens. We check it is free as you type.
  3. Tap Save changes.

2. Make it public

  1. Open My collection and tap Share.
  2. Turn on Public collection. Anyone with the link can now view it, and it can appear in search results.
  3. Turn it off again at any time and the page goes private straight away.

3. Choose which pieces to show

Once your collection is public, every piece has its own switch. Open a piece in My collection and use Show in my public collection. Turn it off and the piece is hidden from your public page and your share card, but it stays in your collection and nothing else changes. Hidden pieces carry a Hidden label in your own view, so you can see at a glance what visitors will not.

4. Make your pieces look their best

It is worth a few minutes on each piece you show: a clear main photo, a proper title, who signed it and when, and the story of how you came to own it. A piece with a recognised certificate or an independent verification shows that on the page too.

Open my collection →

Sharing your link

Once your collection is public, the share row appears on your collection page.

  • Copy link copies your collection address, ready to paste into a message, a forum post or your social bio.
  • Share opens your phone's own share menu, so you can send it straight to WhatsApp, Messages, email or social apps.

When you share the link, it shows up with a picture card made from your pieces, your collection name, how many pieces you have and how many are verified. Visitors can follow your collection to see new pieces as you add them.

Selling: Verified and Ones to Watch

Listing is free. Cardarooz takes a 5% commission on the item price when something sells, and standard card processing fees apply. Buyers pay the item price plus delivery.

How to list a piece

Everything starts in your collection. Add the piece first, or add it and list it in one go, and it stays in your collection with its photos and story whether or not it sells.

  1. Choose + List an item, or List for sale on a piece already in your collection.
  2. Add photos. Rex reads them and fills in the title, who signed it, the category and a description. Check and correct anything it got wrong.
  3. Choose List it for sale, set your asking price and your delivery options. You can ask Rex for an estimated market range first if you have a valuation available.

Which shelf your piece goes on

Every listing sits on one of two shelves, and buyers can always see which. We work it out automatically, and a piece moves shelf by itself if that changes.

  • Verified: pieces examined by an independent specialist booked through Cardarooz. The specialist records the result from their own Cardarooz account, so a seller can never mark a piece verified themselves. Pieces with a recognised certificate from PSA/DNA, Beckett, JSA, SGC or CGC added by the seller sit here too. A specialist on Cardarooz has not reviewed these, so each one links to the issuer's own lookup for buyers to check.
  • Ones to Watch: the place to buy and sell memorabilia that has not been through independent verification yet. Add photos of any certificate, letter or receipt you have, and buyers can look at the evidence for themselves.

Adding a recognised certificate

  1. Open the piece in your collection and find Certificate.
  2. Choose the issuer and type the certificate number, or use Read it from my photo.
  3. Tick to confirm it is the issuer's genuine certificate on this exact piece, then choose Add certificate. Buyers see who certified it and the number, with a link to the issuer's own lookup. You do not need to add the link yourself. For PSA it opens that exact certificate; for the others it opens the issuer's lookup page, where the buyer enters the number.

A piece with its ownership recorded on Cardarooz and verified by an independent specialist carries that record with it every time it changes hands. That gives the next collector peace of mind.

Selling in quantity

If you trade or have a lot of stock, the Dealer plan adds bulk upload (a folder of photos, Rex drafts each listing, publish in one go), eBay import and sync (a sale in either place updates stock in both), and your own branded shop. Dealer accounts are set up by our team rather than bought online.

The Pro plan: what it gives you

Pro is for members who sell regularly or arrange verification often. It costs £19.99 a month, or £199.99 a year (two months free).

  • Everything in Collector: portfolio value insights, Rex market pulse and an insurance schedule for your collection.
  • 30 Rex valuations a month, with comparable market activity and timing for each piece.
  • Half the verification platform fee. When you arrange verification, the specialist sets their own fee and Cardarooz adds a platform fee on top. On Pro it is 10% instead of 20%.

When Pro pays for itself

Pro costs £12 a month more than Collector. On a £100 specialist fee, the lower platform fee saves you £10. So if you arrange one or two verifications a month, Pro covers its own cost.

The verification platform fee is separate from the 5% sales commission, which is the same on every plan.

Changing or cancelling

Upgrades take effect straight away, with the price adjusted for the time left. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal. If you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, then move to the free plan.

Rex valuations and tokens

Rex is our AI. Open any piece and tap Value with Rex for an estimated market range, comparable market activity and the factors pushing the value up or down. It is a guide, not a guarantee, and for a high value piece Rex will suggest an independent specialist.

  • Every new member gets their first 3 Rex valuations free.
  • Paid plans include a monthly allowance.
  • On any plan, including Free, you can buy tokens in packs of 10, 25 or 50. One token runs one valuation, and tokens never expire.

Founding places

Our earliest members can claim a Founding place: the first 3 months of Collector or Pro free, plus a Founding Member badge that stays on your profile for good. No card is needed, and nothing is charged when the 3 months end. You simply move to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe. Places are limited and go in signup order, one per person. Founding Pro is for members who sell: list at least 20 pieces for sale within 14 days of claiming to keep it, otherwise it becomes a Founding Collector place.
